History is, first and foremost, a STORY!
How we remember history depends a great deal on who is telling the story.
Ideally, history would be a COLLECTION of STORIES that share the combined experience of everyone who has lived in those times.
That’s why I’m so excited about the collection of stories at the Bob Bullock Museum website.
The Bullock Museum is also known as the “Story of Texas” Museum, and they’re doing their best to record all the stories of Texas! Anyone can share their story, and anyone can read the stories that others have shared. The collection provides a very grass-roots form of primary source documentation, and that’s often the very best way to get a true feel for history.
